(Q) How do I obtain a job application? Where is the Personnel Office?
(A) The Personnel Office is located in room 201 of the Board of Education Administrative Offices in the Ellsworth School. Job applications may be obtained there for positions for which openings exist. Click here for directions to: Ellsworth.

(Q) When are time records due to the payroll department?
(A) The payroll cycle runs Friday through Thursday. Completed time records are due to Payroll on Friday.
(Q) I am a retiree and have elected to continue my health insurance coverage. Where do I send my payments?
(A) Payments are due no later than the first of each month to pay for the following months’ premium and can be mailed to Rose Guimond, in Personnel at South Windsor Public Schools, 1737 Main Street, South Windsor, Connecticut 06074. If you have questions regarding your coverage, you may contact Rose Guimond at 291-1217 in the Personnel office or e-mail her at rsguimond@swindsor.k12.ct.us.
(Q) I am a retiree and am about to turn 65. Will my insurance coverage change?
(A) Your coverage and insurance premiums could change. If you have questions, you may contact Rose Guimond at 291-1217 in the Personnel office or e-mail her at rsguimond@swindsor.k12.ct.us.
(Q) How do I have my paycheck directly deposited to my bank?
(A) Contact Jill Kolinsky in the payroll department at 291-1272 or e-mail her at jkolinsky@swindsor.k12.ct.us to request a direct deposit form. It takes approximately two to three weeks to become effective.
(Q) How do I have payroll deductions deposited directly to the credit union?
(A) Contact Jill Kolinsky in the payroll department at 291-1272 or e-mail her at jkolinsky@swindsor.k12.ct.us to request a credit union deduction form. You may contact the First New England Federal Credit Union for information about joining the credit union.
(Q) How do I sign up for a tax sheltered annuity?
(A) You can request an enrollment form from Jill Kolinsky in the payroll department. She can be reached at 291-1272 or you can e-mail her at jkolinsky@swindsor.k12.ct.us. No TSA-providers will be added to the approved list.
(Q) How do I change my address with the Teachers’ Retirement Board (TRB)?
(A) Certified staff enrolled in TRB can not change their address directly with TRB. Address changes must be reported to TRB by the district’s Personnel Office. Contact Diane Griffin at 291-1219.
(Q) I was hurt at work, but I think it's going to be fine. Do I need to tell anyone?
(A) Yes. You must report any accident, no matter how minor, to your supervisor. Any at work medical emergencies should be reported to a supervisor for subsequent reporting to the Personnel Office, as well.
(Q) If payday falls on a professional development day or during a school vacation week, where do I pick up my paycheck?
(A) Checks will be sent to the school or department location which you are regularly assigned.
(Q) I need the tax exempt number. Where can I get it?
(A) South Windsor Public Schools does not have a tax exempt “number,” although it is tax exempt. However, Accounting Services can issue a Governmental Agency Exemption Certificate for authorized purchases from a vendor who requires proof of our tax exempt status.
